Hope House English Language Program (HHELP)

HHELP classes are designed for adult English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) students to develop and practice their reading, writing, listening, and spoken English Language skills. HHELP staff and volunteers also organize cultural outings, in-person conversation groups, and individual tutoring.

Registration is currently open for all English classes, which are held remotely using WhatsApp or Zoom.  Enrollment is ongoing throughout the semester.

  • Basic Beginner: 9:30-11:00 Mondays (WhatsApp) and Wednesdays (WhatsApp)
  • Advanced Beginner: 9:30-11:30 Mondays (Zoom) and Wednesdays (WhatsApp)
  • Intermediate: 10-12 Tuesdays (Zoom) and Thursdays (Zoom)

Digital Literacy Training

In 2025 we launched digital literacy classes to help Hope Acts clients gain confidence and competence in basic computer skills that are needed to tackle the challenges of sophisticated scams and adapt to essential services moving online.

The classes are taught in French and English. Contact us for more information.
